Commissioning a Painting
Commissioning a painting is an easy and personal experience where we can both discuss your exact needs, it cost no more than buying a painting in the gallery.
Why commission a painting?
This is a personal process between the artist and purchaser where specific wants and details are discussed and planned.
The colours and activity in the painting are important and may need to blend with your home décor.
The commission could be as a gift or award and needs to be specific.
Galleries may not have what you specifically want on their walls.
The Process
You contact me with your ideas and concepts, We discuss the themes, what size you require the painting, the colours you prefer along with some detailed discussion on sea and weather conditions for marine paintings. We will consider reference material to be utilised.
I will undertake some preliminary sketches for your consideration, and on your approval commence your painting.
After the agreed time frame I will present you with the painting and payment is concluded.
You are not obliged to purchase the painting, I have never yet failed to satisfy a customer with the final painting!. Lastly as the artist I maintain the copyright on each of my paintings.
